Oh, you can't run because you're Seung Hwan?

Oh Seung-hwan (42), the oldest member of Samsung, failed to join the Korean Series entry after all.

Oh Seung-hwan was not listed in the entry that Samsung announced after the Korean Series Media Day ended on Tuesday. Oh, who was excluded from the playoff entry, is effectively ending this season completely.

"Our bullpen pitched well in the playoffs, so we decided to continue with the Korean Series," Samsung coach Park Jin-man said. Samsung excluded pitcher Lee Ho-seong from the roster and added outfielder Kim Hyun-joon. There was no further change.안전놀이터

Oh Seung-hwan left the game against Kiwoom on Sept. 22. He allowed six runs in 0.2 innings on the day, was excluded from the entry for the first team the next day, and failed to return to the mound for the first team.

Oh recorded two scoreless innings in two Futures League games ahead of the playoffs. However, he was not invited to the fall festival because he was not in control, with his maximum speed staying at 145 kilometers.

Oh is the most experienced player in the Korean Series at Samsung. He played in the Korean Series six times since 2005. He showed extreme performance by posting one win, one loss and 11 saves with an ERA of 0.81 in 22 games in the Korean Series. Oh's current position, however, is different from that of over a decade ago. He has no longer used to pressure batters with heavy pitching.

Ironically, Oh Seung-hwan is "Oh Seung-hwan," so he has no choice but to be evaluated as a tougher standard for whether to include an entry or not.

Oh is the oldest player in his team, so for Samsung, which has many young players, his every move is highly influential. Not only fielders but also younger pitchers follow him a lot. "Oh Seung-hwan said, 'Play well even without me,' and I almost cried. He looks awkward, but he says a lot of nice things to me. I learned a lot, too."

If Oh Seung-hwan is shaken like this, his team will have a significant impact. Notably, Oh lost three games and posted a 12.10 ERA in 10 games against the Kia Tigers this year. Samsung was inferior to the Kia Tigers in this season by posting four wins and 12 losses overall. There were many areas in which it was difficult to simply trust and include experience.
